Workshops & Resources
Workshops
We offer four Staff-led workshops per semester. Previous presentations can be viewed in the Workshops room in our Gather Town.
Fall 2023:
- Workshop I – Resources Page: Our first workshop is an introduction to the Resources Page. These are some of the very best resources available for helping you through your academic career.
- Workshop II – Zotero: Zotero is free, high-quality referencing software that is compatible with Google Docs and Microsoft Word. It is a MUST HAVE piece of software. Referencing software can save you hours on each essay you write, and countless hours over the course of your academic career.
- Workshop III – Making Games in Scratch: For our third workshop, Joo Won is teaching us how to use Scratch to make video games.
- Workshop IV - Narrative Structures: In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to explore popular and useful narrative structures for writing fiction. Work in your group to create an outline for a story using one of the narrative structures.
Students are also given the opportunity to lead workshops in areas in which they are an expert or have a passion for.
